You know the saying, "Everything happens for a reason"? Well for this Chocolate Cake it's true! I have been making my family's favorite keto chocolate cake for at least 10 years the same way! Well, yesterday out of nowhere my husband says, "you know my grandma used to put (insert secret ingredient)in her chocolate cakes and they were amazing! He was right! Enjoy!

This cake and frosting recipe makes 2 8'round layer cakes or 2 dozen cupcakes. I often half the recipe when it's not a special occasion and make 1 dozen cupcakes or a single layer cake. The cake/cupcakes will also freeze well. Mine have never lasted longer than a month in the freezer. It's a great way to portion control and not feel like you need to eat the whole cake in one weekend!
